As I tell people about my journey, I get lots of fantastic suggestions of places to go. I wanted to have a space for people to offer their suggestions all in one place. So here, I would love for anyone to pass on to me the places they have been, or places where they have friends or family that I should visit.
So, here you go! Fill me up with knowledge!

Everything will flow once I am gone. I will post my plan, though. I am really glad you are staying in touch!
Holy sh*t, Jess....I am equally excited, thrilled, scared for, and inspired by you!
You know that I spent a year in Europe...back in the dark ages of the mid 90s...but what's a decade to the centuries of european history??
Therefore, I strongly suggest that you make time for the following:
1) hike through cinque terre (ITALY) never did it myself, but I've had so many friends who have told me it was by far their favorite endeavor while travelling
2) Lucerne, Switzerland (if you go during Christmas time, there is an amazing house that turns its windows into an Advent calendar....it's amazing)
3) Salzburg, Austria (especially if you are a fan of the Sound of Music) This town is carved into a mountain side, and is absolutely breathtaking
4) Monaco- ritzy and toursty, but I've never seen water the blue-green color that the ocean is there...and the Jacques Cousteau Museum is incroyable...this is worth a hop off the train, but don't spend more than a daytime here.
5) Paris. If you've never been there, you MUST go...I'll give you specifics on this later, as I lived there for 9 months & could write a book)
6) Toledo, Spain- get a tortilla, take in some Velasquez art, and admire the swords!
7) Barcelona, Spain- Gaudi's home (now a museum) and cathedral are out of control!
8) Amsterdam- visit Anne Frank home/museum- a very real & moving experience everyone should have.
9) Mount St. Michele, France- Monastery- the road is covered with the tide, but it's worth the trip- such a peaceful place.
10) Canterbury, England. Just because.
And the Eurorail is worth every penny...though Italy & Spain's schedules are a little more 'lax' than the rest of the countries!
Rebecca! I love you! I can't wait to do all of those things! Fortunately I have already been to Paris (loved it) and the Anne Frank Museum. That just leaves.... LOADS more to do!

In Brazil: Araruama (for sail sports), Arraial do Cabo (paradise beaches), Saquarema (Surfers paradise), Buzios (a peninsula, nice nightlife), Cabo Frio (biggest city in lakes region)... all in Rio de Janeiro State...

and two more places that I need to translate into english
in Thailand, north west of Bangkok, a town called Sangklahburi. It's right near the border of Burma, it's a beautiful and fascinating mix of four distinctly different cultures and people, the Mon, Karen, Thai and Burmese. Also, it's situated on a 73 km reservoir. Also, just go to Burma, too see the things there, and figure out what's really going on.
